Does it have a good grip to run in winter, on mostly snow cleared curbs or with mild snow?

It's all relative, these don't have lugs or anything, its pretty flat rubber, but fully covered.

I run with normal running shoes all winter, but some people like using running crampons or trail shoes with little ice spikes.
How can an ant carry twenty times its body weight, but root beer floats are still delicious?

I'd grade their arch support a 6.5/10. Fine for the average foot but not enough for flat footers, The insoles are pretty bare bone , but there is room to switch them out for one that's more substantial. I'm using an old, thicker arch boost insoles.

Looking at the sole pattern, I would guess not, but I haven't tried

I have no experience with these particular shoes but If you're looking for running shoes with great tread for slippery conditions, start with any of the Puma Nitro series running shoes (PumaGrip is the real deal) or Adidas with the Continental rubber.

Do you mean since they got bought out house brand quality has gone down? MEC brand stuff used to be some of the best value for money technical gear out there: medium level stuff for low price. Would be too bad if that’s no longer the case
