[Memory Express] Asus PRIME B450M-A/CSM w/ DDR4-2666, 7.1 Audio, Gigabit LAN, PCI-E x16 - $69.99

For those looking for entry level build, here's something to ponder:

Asus PRIME B450M-A/CSM w/ DDR4-2666, 7.1 Audio, Gigabit LAN, PCI-E x16 - $69.99

Canada Computers:
AMD Ryzen 3 3200G 4-Core/4-Thread Processor - $159.99

G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Dual Channel Kit- $104.99

The RAM can be purchased at other retailers, but I'd recommend ddr4-3200 with 16-18-18-38 timings (need to be matched if mixing, and this seems to be the most common)

While supplies last !!!

Good Luck,

not bad for anyone need a cheap board,
but if ME is not in your local area you have to pay shipping,
if it gets close to $100 total might as well buy a B550m board with proper VRM heatsink

looks like online is OOS, so probably local deal only

$10 cheaper at CC, limited locations only

Why limit yourself to 3000 series?

This board can run 5000 series CPUs.

I bought a Lenovo PC last Summer with the same CPU as mentioned in OP (AMD 3200G). Can I just swap out the CPU with a 5600G? Asking because it seems the specs of the motherboard are probably similar to this one, and if I can reuse the motherboard that saves saves ~60 + tax. It says chipset is AMD B500 so I assume that's the motherboard. Link to the PC: https://psref.lenovo.com/Detail/IdeaCen ... 90J00077CF

Are mobos with USB c rare? For future builds I'd only go with multiple USB 2.1 with 1-2 USB c ports

The AMD chipset will support it.

However based on this, Lenovo might be locking you out of it.

Thanks - I think that page just lists all the variations of the PC model that Lenovo sells (up to 3400G for CPU) and I think Lenovo doesn't lock specs but will try with a 5600G when it's available.

Old stock won't be up to date.

The bios revision should be on the box.

I've never seen a computer store refuse to update the bios of a board you bought from them.

BTW pretty sure that this motherboard isn't 3000 series ready, nor does it have USB flash BIOS, so you will need to get ME to flash it or have a 2nd gen Ryzen to do the update.

OP, I believe recommended RAM's BUS Speed doesn't match with the mainboard.

As long as you're not buying online, just use this link to determine what bios revision added support for your CPU.
