[Memory Express] EVGA SuperNOVA 1200 P2 1200W 80+ Platinum Power Supply ($219.99 After Rebate ($120.00 discount + $50 mail in rebate))

First time posting a deal.

EVGA SuperNOVA 1200 P2 1200W 80+ Platinum Power Supply
https://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX68298

Stumbled on this deal looking at power supplies on PCpartpicker.ca. (https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/V6v ... 20p21200x1)
Seems like a pretty hot deal. Let me know what you all think.

If only SLI and Crossfire were still a thing I might need that size PSU!

I thought it was $120... Title is misleading AF.

It would still be overkill for a 2GPU setup. Unless you were OCing everything like crazy.

Good for miners, and in most cases overkill for home use.

Good for mining rig. I bought a 1300w gold evga lightly used for $180 last month but this is a pretty good deal.

With AMD not putting much more R&D into crossfire, I imagine the prices of big PSU'S will come down on clearance sales.

If someone is looking for a good deal for a 850w, Amazon has $30 off the Corsair HX850’s. Top tier supply.

Thanks for the advice. Had my eyes on the Corsair HX850 before I noticed this EVGA one was a pretty decent deal and was considering it.
Wasn't sure if it would affect my new build negatively to have so much power not being used with this EVGA one, so I'm switching back to the Corsair.

If you take a look at the PSU efficiency chart you'll see at what wattage it's most efficient. If your estimated consumption is in that area you'll be best off. But otherwise there is no "negative" impact to having too powerful of a PSU.

The HX850 has multi 12v rails and the nice Corsair Type 4 cables with caps in them, really great PSU.
