Still plan to HODOR until the release of the 40 series, but if that goes sideways/gets delayed, I'll pick up a 12GB 3080 and ride that wave for a good 3-5 years. Still rocking a 1070ti so will be a massive bump regardless of what I go for
Just got delayed i think, only a month. But its prob gonna slip again...

Its looking more like early 2023,

I want to know where from Asian I can purchase cards when it becomes dirt cheap. I don’t care if some cards were used for a couple of years to mine, I would love a cheap 3090 card. Any info would be much obliged.

Buyer beware, likely mined on for 18 months straight but a repaste would probably fix any heat issues and it should have warranty for another 18 months.

Is this a good deal? The 6800 has better performance and is cheaper right now at canada computers. I have a geforce 3050, and feel like many of the features it has are over rated. I got it on sale, and it was cheaper than the radeon, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten it.

I thought the 6800xt and 10gb 3080 were close, but didn't the tweaks released with the 12gb version push its performance beyond a 6800 and "closer, in some applications" to a 3090?
Please don't ask or beg for "thanks". Don't act like this is Facebook. If someone found your post helpful, let them decide if they want to make that click. The more you beg, the less you'll get. Cheers

Not sure, but last I checked, the 6900xt is the benchmark king, making a fool out of the 3090ti.

So I assumed the 6800xt was also above the 3080. Not sure how things are nowadays, they've been trading blows though.

Which benchmark did you check?
I have the 6900xt since release and it's just better than 3080 at the time, got beat by 3090 in almost all games. But value wise it's much better than 3090 for sure.

I thought all new cards have hash rate limiter that they have yet to crack? I remember back a few years ago when 2060 can be had for like around $400.

Can't wait for the new cards to come out and I can grab this for 1440p 120Hz gaming for much less.

LHR was cracked a few months ago. The price should go down more as the crypto-losers shut off their mining rigs.

Unfortunately it's Gigabyte, holding for EVGA or Asus for same price.

I don't care about waiting for the next gen. I was using 1080ti for the longest time and it still rocked. Manged to buy two 3080 FE, sold one for a hefty profit, and kept the other one for free once I sold the 1080ti as well.

Free upgrade.

Even if the performance was close in some games, buying an AMD card is just stupid because DLSS makes even a 3060ti crap on anything AMD

Price per performance will continue to come back to reality. My 3080 mining is profiting like 70cents a day, I expect it to drop furthur.

I'd wait if I wasn't in dire need.

Feeling bad for FB marketplace sellers still trying to get 1200$ for used 3080's.
