thanks op, +$9 shipping if not out west

gigabyte 570's in general run loud and hot, or all 570's?

always see gigabyte and zotec cheaper than the rest = lower quality than msi, asus, etc?

My biggest gripe is the 4GB. Otherwise I would be all over this like Pooh in a pot of honey.

for 1080p gaming 4gb is fine

you'd have to pay more at that point for 8gb anyways, and you might as well go up to a 580 4gb if you do

.. and you will then get this by courier or whatever in 2021. Already have hedged on buying a monitor because the wait time on shipping must be insane.

Seems odd. My cousin has the 460 with a 1700x and 4K YouTube runs fine. I don’t know how your setups compare but he watches in Chrome with some decoder and has 32GB of ram.

This card will be better as it’s both a generation and a tier higher but honestly, if you can’t solve your current setup, not sure throwing another $130 is worth it for you.

I have a 580 and 4K YT just works for me. I didn’t do anything special.

Great price for this card. The 4GB will limit you even at 1080p in some of the latest and greatest AAA titles if you want to play at Ultra settings, but usually the difference between Ultra and High is minimal. It should provide a solid 60+ FPS in just about everything else. I say this as someone with an old RX 480 4GB, which is a very similar card.

Meh wait a year for DDR5 to be out and about and upgrade your whole computer. Or buy an RX580 8gb used for the same price. The latter is what I did and it was only used a few months before the guy upgraded, just use common sense and don't buy a bitcoin mining card.

I bought this card in boxing day and it's good. I don't find it overly loud or hot. I've got horrible cooling/airflow in my PC (fans on order to fix that) and it's literally inside a cabinet in my computer desk and GPU temps only hit about 77 when playing division 2 at 75hz and custom/high settings. Usually get 75fps but not always.

It's a great budget GPU if you want an upgrade. My system was 6 years old.

6 gigs if you want higher than 720p resolution with high textures (higher resolutions uses more video memorY). This one doesnt meet that requirement. Textures have nothing to do with how powerful the GPU is. You can still use highest textures with a slower GPU and it wont affect frame rates. Very few games use compression on textures these days. They trust the driver to do it for them (which it does) but not very well. The last major game to use texture compression was Crysis 3.
