Yeah gotta clear these out before the 5900x eats it’s lunch

Also keep in mind this is the F variant, not the K overclocking sku.

Personally I would not get this cpu, I would wait until and shows their new stuff. I expect more price cuts to Intel to compete

Like, processors just continually drop over time.

Imho: no sense in reporting any of the drops unless they are white hot.

Correct me if I'm wrong , but doesn't "Processor Graphics N/A" mean that you'd need an external GPU to have any graphics capability?

Fastest single-thread CPU on the market today. 10 cores, 20 threads. Less than $600! New parts coming soon from AMD, but it's a great time to be in the market for a CPU.

Correct.

If you're not over-clocking this is exactly as fast as the 10900K.
McDealer: Good morning, gentlemen, the temperature is 110 degrees.

As it happens I am in the market for a CPU/MB combo, but I'm not in any rush, is it wise to grab something like this now or wait for the new AMD pro's with BI graphics?

Wait for new ryzen to be released.. It will be as fast or faster than the current Intel line at a similar or lower price point. Likely it will cause price changes for both Intel and current ryzen 3000 cpus. Deals are coming

Depending on your needs maybe a sale on the current stuff is more important than best performance. Either way waiting a couple weeks is advised to see what the market looks like.

You will need to also buy a graphics card with this chip if you don't already have one since 10900f doesn't have integrated graphics.

Basically if you are buying an I9, you buy it for gaming, and definitely you don't need that integrated graphics card.

If you need a fast CPU to do anything else other than gaming, get AMD.
