I read that the new Ryzen chips benefit meaningfully from 3733 speed RAM - is that correct, or does it not make a difference? could this RAM be clocked to near that speed?

Thanks OP. Kind of stumbled upon them myself and ordered, was just coming here to post. It seems like a warm deal, but judging by the response here, it's more lukewarm?

I checked the QVL sheet of my motherboard (Asus Prime Pro x470) and it fits the bill.

Online store from Calgary OOS. I was also told the following:

“3000mhz/3200 is the current sweet spot for Ryzen CPUs. Try for 3200mhz if you can - and if it doesn't run stable at 3200, 3000 is a very safe bet.”

Looks like the sale goes to Sept 12.

Warm deal for 3200 RGB 2x8GB. DRAM RAM prices have crashed and the outlook is for further downside in the next 6 months so these prices could be the norm in a matter of months.

Just a note for Ryzen CPU builds. Been having a hard time getting RAM that is recognized by the MB even if the RAM is "AMD Certified" (e.g. Corsair). What eventually worked for me is the Kingston HyperX 3200 which is on sale at $109.99 at MemExpress.

I was thinking that as well, but with all the US-China and Japan-South Korea trade tensions, I'm wondering if the reverse may be true over the near term.

For older Ryzen maybe. For current I would say 3600 is the sweet spot, and 3200 is perfectly acceptable if it’s a great price.
