Amazing price for an intel processor lol. Never seen such a shocking thing in my life coming from Intel. AMD has really driven them into a corner. Competition really is good for the market...i hope people just buy AMD for the next two generations and really drive Intel to the corner.

This 9900k pricing is now cheaper than the $600 3900X that's been pretty much neck and neck with each other in some benchmarks (3900X won most of them).

Good job AMD, Intel is showing blood.

If I'm not mistaken, I think it would still be better to get a Ryzen chip. Once AMD's new GPU comes out, it will be significantly faster and better than it already will be when paired with a Ryzen.
This is the reason why the PS5 and the new XBOX will both have AMD CPUs and GPUs. I believe the word is synergy.

I went supporting team AMD over the weekend by getting a Ryzen laptop. Phenomenal performance for the price. Couldn't be happier. This is also my middle finger to Intel for screwing with us for at least the last 5 years for minute improvements (if any).

If you're strictly gaming and want the most fps, Intel is still the king.

There is no evidence that AMD GPUs run better on AMD CPUs than Intel ones. That's not to say I think people should go Intel, just saying that's not how this works.

The reason they use both an AMD CPU and GPU in both consoles is simply cost. AMD is at an advantage that they can custom design an entire SoC for a console under one house and they are more than willing to undercut Intel/Nvidia (hell, that's historically been their business model for PCs) to get their products into tens of millions of consoles.

Not true. It's called SmartShift Technology, and both PS5 and the new XBOX will have it.

"Basically, if you were playing a game and the CPU is sitting at 3.5GHz full bore at 35% utilization (just an example) and the GPU is hitting 100% utilization but not reaching full speed because of thermal/power constraints on the entire system it can dynamically pull back the CPU and increase the GPU available power resulting in overall increase in the experience and performance.
This is a unique option that is given to exclusively all AMD based systems as it won't exist when paired with another dedicated GPU vendor"
