Depends. If your volume is very small (less than 3k credit / month), Square is your best bet as there are no monthly fees. Once you are over that threshold, the other providers are the ones you should consider. I’m a BIG fan of Clover (I resell that, as well as Elavon) as it’s cutting edge, cost effective and has excellent service.

Among Clover Vs Elavon, which one you recommend. Once business picks up turn over will be more than $10-20 K in a month.

Clover has the ability to turn the SIM on and off, which saves you money. As well, they have on site service, whereas Elavon does not. For these reasons, I would recommend Clover / First Data over Elavon

I have not used them but I heard their cancellation fees are quite high.

I'm currently using Square and been happy so far but my volumes are low.

Elavon does not have a cancellation fee.

Clover terminal is far superior. If you bank with TD, the money may be in your account quicker than Clover. TD is typically more expensive and has additional fees such as batch close, PCI, admin.

Stay away from Clover, their customer service is horrible.
Fees are outrageously high , extremely predatory charges

I'm with Clover for almost more than one and a half year's so far I didn't have any issues and they gave the cheapest options. Anyways I'm changing banks now so may switch to TD ! Thanks for the heads up !

For small amount low transaction Square is simple easy to use.

For higher amount >10k per month you need to look at what type of business because different class get different rates (at least for moneris) and compared diff vendors for rate and service contract cancel fee etc.

I use Helcim (Canadian based) and when I joined they had the lowest fees compared to all the other providers. Ask for friends and family rates for a killer deal.

Clover / First Data is not affiliated with any bank. Keep your banking with TD.

Do a comparison between your Clover fees, and what TD offers. In my experience, TD is typically more expensive.
