Hi,
My test is a week from today and I don't know the route for the road test. I have asked my driving instructor but he says he cannot tell me. I was wondering if anyone knows the route for the Brampton G2 road test/G1 exit road test?

You need to have a new instructor, lolUser093469 wrote: ↑Hi,

Anyone got a recommendation for an instructor? I need to brush up my driving for the G test (highway) since my license expires next year.
The one I had before was horrible. Always late to lesson, asked me to drive to a mall in the middle so he can buy take out and just overall rude. I was study with him for 10 lessons prior to my road test since I already paid for it along with class lessons for insurance. Complaining didn't do anything either.

You don't have to get an instructor, if you've been driving yourself. I just took the G test last week and passed on the first try. No instructor at all.Alastoris wrote: ↑Anyone got a recommendation for an instructor? I need to brush up my driving for the G test (highway) since my license expires next year.

I think I'm going to take my G1 exit test in Oakville. I've been using an instructor for a while now, hope I pass.
My iffy spots is definitely parking.

The Aurora location has moved to Newmarket so the route can be removed.

By the way, I posted this from the other thread; but it may be more useful here:Super_Chicken wrote: ↑Does anyone have the Newmarket route? Looks like the Aurora one is done as they aren't doing them out of the Henderson location any more. I have a younger family member attempting it soon.
I know I posted that a family member was doing the newmarket test a few weeks ago. I threw my cell phone with waze running while they did the test. Here is the route for it.
Steps:
Starting from the Drive Test Centre; backed into the parking spot
Right turn onto Harry Walker Parkway South
Right turn onto Mulock Drive
Right turn onto Leslie Street
Left turn onto Jacarandah Drive
*Demonstrate Parallel Park*
*Demonstrate Emergency Stop*
Left turn onto Janette Street
*Demonstrate Three point turn*
Right turn onto Jacarandah Drive
Right turn onto Leslie Street
Left turn onto Davis Drive
Turn right onto Highway 404 North ramp
Merge onto Highway 404 North
Merge onto Green Lane exit ramp
Turn left onto Green Lane E
Turn right onto Highway 404 South ramp
Merge onto Highway 404 South
Merge onto Davis Drive exit ramp
Turn right on Davis Drive
Turn left on Harry Walker Parkway South
Turn right into Drive Test Centre
*Demonstrate forward parking*

^ Nice. If the driver's handbook is now free to peruse online, how come the MTO still charges $16 for a downloadable copy?

$16 for printed colour materials seems like decent value.alanbrenton wrote: ↑^ Nice. If the driver's handbook is now free to peruse online, how come the MTO still charges $16 for a downloadable copy?

For those getting their Motorcycle M License:
Did my M2 Exit exam yesterday at the Newmarket location and was successful.
The route was pretty much as described by @Super_Chicken. You're given a Walkie-Talkie and followed by a car. Instructions are given while on local roads. No instructions while on the highway. You're just expected to merge, do a lane switch and exit. Traffic in the area around 2PM was minimal, which was great; just watch your speed. I was not required to do a full emergency stop, just pulled off to the side (did not even put the kickstand down) then continued.
Even though I thought I Aced the exam, I had about 14 errors, most of them being lack of head movement. I thought I was already moving my head way more than necessary (Every 2-3 seconds, every intersections and roads), but apparently it was still not enough. Also, make sure to keep your signals on for about 3-5 seconds after a lane change, I cancelled mine too soon.
