great idea for a thread OP.

I highly recommend Complete Auto.

Complete Auto Repair Services Ltd.
144 Bullock Drive,
Markham, ON L3P 1W2
Tel. : 905-472-3513

Ask for Raymond. He isn't the cheapest around but he provides excellent quality work for his prices. He won't try to do additional repairs not needed but if he sees something that may cause a problem, he will recommend something. Been going there for a while now. Highly recommended. Can work on all types of cars.

Great garage in Markham. They have a lot of staff and they get their parts fast. They are also even helpful when you are in an emergency situation.

It's a little hard to find, and it's in very industrious area. But I was told that I needed $800 worth of work on my 2001 Altima. I shopped around, and was recommended by a friend to get a quote from Sam. (He was recommended there by a relative who is a retired police mechanic).

Sam checked the car and showed me why I didn't need any of that work. The only thing showed any wear was the serepine(?) belt, and that had at least 6 more months of life. I was all ready to get all the work done cuz I was going to a garage which I thought was honest for 4-5 years. But my mind got changed quickly.

I had work done by the guy you recommend on Toro Road

Yes the pricing is "reasonable". Unfortunately I had some work done and they forgot to properly reconnect my lower rad-hose properly. A few days later on the highway (during the winter) the engine died. Turns out the lower rad hose got disconnected. Hmmmmm someone was sloppy. I had to change the engine since it "overheated". Cost me $1,700 - all the guy could do for me is give me a cheap price on labour to do the engine switch.

I guess you get what you pay for

Thats sucks, I never had an issue the 8 years I have been going to them for service. Didnt you notice the coolant spilling or the temp gauge? Not tightening a hose enough is a common issue that has also happened to myself at a different shop. It happens.

been a customer for years. Never sold me a part I didn't need, and has also sent me to a competitor who could beat his price on an exhaust replacement.
