The $45/$50 on Bell is also shareable...if one requested it from Bell when getting their plan.
But not if you didn't request it and not if you have the Virgin plan like I do right?

Nope. Closed a long time ago.

In other news, Koodo has a SK $55 5GB plan, next best in line (would be $49.50 for you BYOD)

Still attainable. Perhaps not for long.
I see. Is a Toronto number still attainable though if you go to tbay and get it?

I.e. get it in tbay and use it in Toronto? If so I'm wondering if I can sign up for say 10 different plans and transfer them and people can pitch in for my ticket to tbay, etc.

What proof is required to get this deal? Is bank statement with Tbay address enough?

One could still have it even if not requested... Depends on the rep.

Virgin doesn't have data sharing.

That's what I'm thinking . My friend lives in Tbay. Change address to his address, go to Tbay during a trip to US, get this deal and then change my address back to my current residence.

I believe the max # of lines per account is 5 lines - unless you bring a few family members as well.

If you do go this route, I would suggest each person max out on the # of lines (5 per account) and get iphones as well (best phone to flip) - get the Bell version given it has more goodies vs Virgin...

Flip the phones for profit and the lines you can sell later (but transfer of responsibilities are only possible after 6 months)...

That works as well! If you have a friend in TBay, you don't even need to go to Tbay yourself.

Just get your friend to sign up to a plan and iphone (get a Bell plan with more features vs. Virgin) and then you can be added to the account later on as an authorized user (either call into customer service or adding you to the account via online).

You can use your own CC for pre-authorized bill payments online and as an authorized user, you would be able to call in for account inquiries etc.

But you wouldn't really need to call in for anything, everything can be done online as well.
