Hot food is poorly prepared in my local metro (church Ave, North York).

Any location that does pizza right?

Any location that does pizza right?
Any place that isn't a 'pizza pizza' basically.

The one in SW Mississauga used to do pizza amazing when I lived near there a few years ago.

How does this work? Do you just go up to the counter and order it? What's the expected wait time? Can you order in advance via phone/internet? What are the topping options? Are there other parts of the pizza that's customizable (eg. crust/sauce/cheese)?

Wait time is 15min, 3 toppings of your choice customizable depends on the location and the guy you get end of day best works Smiling Face With Open Mouth And Tightly-closed Eyes

Ooo yay its back, lol its like back every couple of weeks. :D

Yeah you go up to the counter and order. I've never phoned in but seems like it is possible to have your call transferred to the fresh 2 go dept.
And 15-20 mins its ready.

Yes you can call ahead and order. Just call the store and ask for fresh 2 go department/deli/hot food and they will route u there. I have done that with both local Metro in Oakville.

Metro pizza quality is a hit or miss. I have ordered pizza in the past 2-3 times. The last pizza I bought was burnt to 100% black on the bottom. I would suggest inspecting the pizza before leaving the store.

I’ve tried this pizza at the Markham and Eglinton metro and it was crap. I was expecting $10 pizza but not frozen pizza, any place in Scarborough that does it well?

I've had metro pizza that tastes way way better than every other pizza chain. I've also had the opposite happen

Always inspect the bottom of the pizza if it is burnt. They may insist that it's normal and you are being a pain but don't accept it. Other than that, they put a lot of toppings on it that it's ridiculous. Also, taking a slice and frying it in a pan with some olive oil makes it crispy and amazing!

Couldn't have said it better myself. Exact same experience.
The only variable should be the cooking though. All the toppings are pre packaged for portion control.

Bringing the pizza home in a box tends to soften up the crust due to condensation. What I do is put slices right on the rack of my convection oven and give a quick shot of heat. The crust crisps up nicely. I have also tried the frying pan. I find the convection oven does a slightly better job.

I believe the person making the dough can make it different too
