In 5 years we are never going to have to leave the house except to get the delivered items off the porch. $50 min spend? That should cover a dozen eggs, bag of milk and some fruit.
What's in your wallet?

Downtown Toronto condo-dweller - I'm already living that future.

  • Groceries/Perishables/Toiletries: rotate between Instacart, DoorDash, Uber Eats, Voila and Walmart depending on who's offering an $X off $X coupon that week.
  • Beer, wine & spirits: Order direct from local craft brewers/wineries/distillers, lots offer free shipping over $50
  • Cat food & litter: Petsmart fulfilled by DoorDash
  • Bulk Meat, Frozen Meals: Wild Fork

The only things I buy at stores these days are high-end food (overpriced bakeries like Blackbird/Emmer) and thrift/vintage clothing.

And you can deduct an item per each year going forward...

That's like $18. Where are you shopping at?

Metro's regular prices are eye-watering but their loss leaders are pretty competitive. This week in Ontario for example, Chunky soups are $1.99 which is the standard sale price at other retailers.

I'm confused.... to get something for free I have to spend $26? Isn't that... not free?

So why don't I just go with PCO where it's $99/year, get 50,000 points (bringing their deal to $50 for the entire year) plus one month free. Making it 13 months?
