[Metro] YMMV? Family meal - mammoth chicken, ribs, wedge fries, saladx2

This deal was popular last summer and I saw it advertised at Metro in North York today. Maybe YMMV, but the sign didn't look store-specific and previously it has been offered at most Metros in the GTA.

Mammoth chicken, ribs, large wedge fries and 2 salads for $20. Sign said until June 30.

chicken $8.99 every wednesday
large wedge = 4.99 every day
how much is each salad? Unless they cost a lot, otherwise the savings are minimal.

Ribs are also included so not a bad deal.

Salads are those keybrand tubs like mac and cheese potato salad etc.

Both usually go on sale at the same time. The no ribs combo for $15 and with ribs for $20.

I was hoping the ribs were still with it ... seems like the better of the 2 deals to me.

Do not be mislead by the photo of the $20 offer...
You only get a portioned sized rib, not full rack!
I bought this last year and was disappointed, and the server told me that he got a lot of complaints from customers regarding the photo depicting a full rack of ribs, and agreed with me that the $20 offer was misleading... Store manager was fully aware of customers complaining.
You basically save a few dollars on the regular price.

even if it is only a half rack of ribs, don't you still get a good amount of food for $20? If you get takeout at some restaurants, $20 doesn't usually get you this much food no?

I been getting takeout the past couple of weeks to contribute to the struggling restaurants, and its often like $30 for 2 of those plastic circular containers of food. In Ottawa its like $12.99 for an order of fried rice. In Toronto this deal from Metro might not be that great but I think in Ottawa its a good deal.

$5 for a rack of ribs is a no brainer better buy.

this deal was there at metro in scarborough (kennedy commons) then it expired end of March, not sure if it's there still
BUT....we've had it several times...and DAMN, way better than any other family deals I could think of...ANY

box of wedges are honestly massive, its a bigger box than your large KFC
chicken...AND ribs....potato salad (which I would rather just give it away to someone)
definitely makes it good for 2 meals...and we're a family of 4

meh got this once before u get the $8.99 sometimes $7.99 pre packaged ribs (swiss chalet or st louis brands) + chicken $8.99 and wedges $4.99 so basically free 2 small "keybrand" salads; NOW if they gave u store made salads I go for this but "keybrand" taste like pure chemicals to me.
