Miami Questions....

Hi Folks,

I'm looking to travel to Miami in April and I have some questions.

1. My wife found some hotels in the Wynwood area around Biscayne and NE 36th Street. Is this a family friendly area? Can we walk around in the evenings?

2. Is the first week of April still part of "spring break"? Should we go after this week?

3. Has anyone tried this Shark viewing tour?

Looking for any shark viewing (not diving) tour for my kids.

Thank you!

Spring Break is kind of a range
As every school district (State, Province, etc) tends to set their own dates
It generally runs from the last Week of February to the end of March
Or to Easter
Whichever occurs LAST

Easter this year is April 9th
So expect beach destinations to be quite busy until at least then

And cuz this is the first real year post Covid
Prices are sky high
Everything is busy with more Travellers than normal
And availability for flights, accommodations, rental cars, and activities is anywhere from tight to non existent!

Figuring out a spring break date is easy peasy. Pick a random hotel and look for their rates in March, you will see a sudden spike after Xth of March. That date is what that region considers spring break based on historical data.

Lol, guess you haven’t booked many US Hotels lately …

EVERYDAY is expensive now. Hard to find a Hotel under $ 200 all in once you add on Taxes, Resort Fees & Parking that most US Hotels now charge for.

And here we are … just February. I’ve been looking at March & April for a possible getaway … and it’s nuts in the USA. Florida esp this year.
