This is a good deal for:

This is NOT a good deal for:
-I believe the spec is wrong and it actually only has 2gb RAM per manufacturer specs.

i think this one is the better one of the 2

https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/hp ... 65&irgwc=1

could be possible to make it a windows 10 laptop due to it having an intel processor.

for $99 as a windows 10 laptop (if possible) thats a very very good deal for a child, parent, someone who just watches youtube/netflix and wants something bigger than a tablet.

Thanks OP

Edit: Shit it sold out already... i forgot to add to cart. Damn... anyways to those giving thumbs down, take at look at how it went out of stock so fast, then look in the mirror and thumb yourselves down :p

For those who'd like a better CPU and Google updates until May 2022, for an extra $109 you can get this Chromebook. Yes it's "double the price" but a much more recent model for still a great price.

Perfect for my 10 yo who is starting to use Google classroom at school. I have two other chromebooks, but do not want her taking those to school. For $99, this would be a better alternative.

The 20% shipping kinda kills it for me. Tegra K1 is just too old + used + might have 2GB ram. I've been looking for a Chromebook to play with, but the value quotient is very borderline here.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced Chromebook (with OS support until 2022) - refurb Dell Chromebook 11 model 3189 can be had for as low as $99 USD on ebay ... you have to be patient to grab one for $100 USD as they come and go. The one I am typing this on was $99 USD and still had about 6 months of Dell OEM warranty when I searched the service tag on Dell's website.

They are touchscreen educational models (often sold without external power supply as they are usually used in classrooms and charged in a Dell charging carousel overnight) ...and the power supplies sell for around $10

They have touch screens, flip into a tablet and run sideloaded Android apps when in Developer Mode and because they are educational models they are built like a tank - shock proof and water resistant.

I have a couple of them and they are all we use when my wife and I travel (works flawlessly with PIA VPN).

The only downside is 720p video
