Edit: Someone else on RFD said that they didn't get a voucher doing this. The wording seems to be ambiguous. I have mine on Friday, so I'll report to you guys.

If someone has registered for Seneca or UoC courses, will they still receive a voucher on registering via Fastlane site ?

Yes, the promotions are independent. I got a free AZ-900 from Seneca and a voucher for DP-300 from FastLane.

Thanks, OP for sharing this first of all.

I requested a voucher for DP-100 yesterday around 9-10 am but I still did not get anything yet.
How long did it take for you to get the voucher after requesting it? Did you get an email confirmation or whatever?

It wasn't fast - I received an email with voucher few days later. From address was a personal email at fastlane, not a generic box or no-reply.

I just got my voucher today. Apparently expires 8/31/2021 and you must redeem/take by that day.

Might be different for other certs.

Redeem, yes. But after exam is booked, can't you reschedule it for later date? (check the confirmation email for link, or find it on MS Learn Dashboard)

Maybe, not sure.

The first bulleted instruction from the FastLane rep is:

These vouchers are governed by the following terms:

• Voucher code expires on 8/31/2021. You must redeem the voucher code and take the exam prior to the Expiration Date.

I guess once it's booked and confirmed without having paid, you might be able to reschedule without issue. I see where you're coming from.

Update: I did Microsoft Virtual Training days and got my free voucher, it expires in 2022.

900 exams are notoriously promotional and 'sales' level. Haven't tried a DP yet, but AZ associate level exams in general are pretty specific on technical how-to.

Someone who knows machine learning could probably pass AI-900 without doing the course or studying at all. Someone who doesn't know machine learning won't learn it through this course. It is mostly marketing and training for Azure's product lines and terminology. Btw, the instructor said the pass rate is ~95% for AI-900.

I find the content is stuff that a motivated person would just figure out intuitively by exploring the web interface and occasionally reading docs. Personally I found the course very boring, but since I registered and don't want to waste my seat, I'll be going through the content and doing the exam.

anyone doing DA-100? any recommendations for the study material/lessons? I got the voucher and used it to book exam.
