Not the hottest price, but still a decent discount.

Do note that according to Lenovo support, you are stuck with 8 gigs of RAM with this model.

We should really vote with our wallets to such restrictive behaviours of laptop companies to let them know thwt this is NOT an acceptable approach with laptops.

Oh that's deal breaker. Otherwise it can be hot. Btw, is there any Microsoft employee here? is it way to use US employee discount in CA?

That's exactly what I'm doing when it comes to laptops not having webcams (Asus Zyphrus)

Costco has this in store with 16GB of ram instead of 8GB on this version for $999.
90 day return and 2 year warranty.
Bilingual KB but installed US only on Windows install and installed Sharp Keys to remap and it has been fine.
No pen included.

If you don't mind having the Intel i5-1035G1 chip instead of the Ryzen, you can still get a similar 16gigs, 512 GB SSD for $894.87 from Lenovo via Perkopolis. You get the added the benefit of Wifi 6 as opposed to only Wifi 5 for both the Costco and the Microsoft laptops.

IMHO this laptop's value is around $600-650. I remember in the summer they used to go for as low as $550 with 4500U.
I would recommend to hold until Lenovo refreshes flex series with the 5x ryzen.

Another question we should ask ourselves is how fast is the SSD actually. Manufactures are well know for shoving shitty 400MB/s read nvme in their laptops. Honestly the new M1 macbook airs are such good value they make everything else look like trash. Just wish they ran windows.

Yeah, I have the 4500u version with 256gb but 16gb RAM, and I'd happily keep mine just for the RAM.

When you hit the wall at 8GB RAM, you'll prefer your 4500U to a gimped 4700U. It's not even a question.

I was a big fan of the Lenovo Flex 14 laptop in 2019, and I've since handed it off to another manager who still loves it. He uses it in tent mode.

That said, I updated that 2019 with a 32GB RAM module, giving it 36GB of RAM. The majority of our machines use 16GB of RAM or greater.
