Using an eligible school (student, staff or faculty) e-mail address you can now buy licenses for Office 2019 forboth Mac and PC.

This is not a repost of https://forums.redflagdeals.com/microso ... ns-985675/

That other post is regarding Office 2016 and was referring to a different program (Microsoft HUP)..

this is similar, costs the same and now supports the newer version of Office.

I don't think this works for those who want to register with their workplace. It says students and faculty only?

What if you already have office from university? Do they expire and this doesn't?

Ahh.. they used to have a link like "if you dont find your institution, enter your email to check with your domain name etc etc" but not this time.

definitely want to know if there's enough changes to warrant an upgrade over 2016. but then, it's only $13

I think you can just try creating an account with your email address...

If it works... Great ... If not... Oh well.

$13 is always worth another Office license. I have bought many HUP licences over the years and have them on different laptops both Mac and PC. Handy to have.

I'm not clear on what this site brings other than an aggregation point for a search of schools. I would think there is a more direct route to get the license if you are eligible.

Just curious that if updated the software in the future do we need to use the academic email again? What happened after you graduate from the school? Can we still be able to update it or not?

BTW - for those who are in fact eligible, typically you might have more than one functioning email addresses at your work or school domain.

For example, I found both my normal 'name@work.com' address worked as well as my 'loginuserid@work.com'

Both resulted in the right links provided to my work email and I could purchase one Office license for each working email. Handy when you have more than one computer in the household needing Office.
