[Microsoft Store] $849 Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 14 2-in-1 PC, Ryzen 7 4700U, 512 GB SSD, 8GB

Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 14 81X20002US 2-in-1 PC

• 14.0-inch Full HD touchscreen

I don't know if this is only for students or if it applies to everyone. It's a sale price, so I assume it's for everyone.

So which one should I pick?
The same model laptop but with
Amd Ryzen 5 4500u/16gb ram/512gb ssd for 1050 after tax
Or this one for 960 after tax

Not sure which is gonna hold speed back between the cpu or ram
Thanks

This is mostly only for school/work

I'd probably recommend this Lenovo deal, if its just for work/school, 8GB is enough, as well as save $100.

Hmm... Too tempting. Get it now or wait BTS sales?

Lenovo PM Microsoft, Rakuten 7%, and student/teacher 5% discount?? Going to give them a call later.

8GB ram kills the deal. Would have jumped on it had it been 16gb.

This is a good laptop with 8gb ram and the price looks great too, Acer swift 3 similar specs easily able to handle 4k video editing.

This would be a even better deal with rakuten + student/teacher discount. I couldn't find it through their website, so I googled it, here's the one from Lenovo
Edit: they can pm they said, but I'm not sure if pm and rakuten/student discount work together?

The same laptop with 4500u, 16 gb ram and 256 ssd was also priced closed to $800 few weeks back on Amazon but still not a bad deal as you get 4700u and 512 ssd.

Honestly I would suggest investing in laptop since it will be with you for years. It all depends on what your requirements are. If you can afford it, get 16GB Ram or upgrade it later, if not soldered into the motherboard.
I bought Lenovo Legion and upgraded to 32GB Ram.
