Great tough lil speaker , mine has gone through hell and back left outside under rain ,thrown in pool by grandkids ( no it doesn’t float ) , jobsite dust , dropped many times , still keeps on working .
Absolutely kid proof lol

I’ve had many issues with several JBL devices that I own like Bluetooth not working, remote not working. Their quality control seems to have really gone down!

Been using the JBL Flip 4 on jobsites (construction) for a couple of years. It's held up quite well, would recommend the JBL Flip series.

Had bad experience with JBL and also received 2 defective Microsoft MAG speakers in a row. Not sure why I have bad luck, but although I need a speaker and this seems like a decent deal...Microsoft to me is like Canada Computers to RFDers.

Great speaker garage product..
My flip 3 - usb port stopped charging
My flip 4 - battery went bad after a year
Replaced battery, so it's all good now..

For $90 though it's a good deal

I have the Flip 4 that serves my needs well currently but my minor annoyance is that it's a micro usb for charging. Is Flip 5 worth the upgrade?? The usb-c will be handy. Is the sound on the 5 better than the 4?

My Flip 3 is still going strong. Surprisingly loud for the size (audio quality is another matter).

Pro of the Flip 5: USB-C (no flap)
Con of the Flip 5: No Aux-in, no Apt-x, AAC nor LDAC.

Also bigger battery and USB-C but gives up stereo (1 20W driver vs 2 8W drivers) and no aux input.

Got this on clearance for $99 at indigo over the summer. It's a great speaker. not stereo sound because it just has one "racetrack" mono speaker, but the sound is great with lots of bass. The passive radiators at either end are fun to watch. USB-C charging, great battery life, perfect size like a water bottle. Only thing I've noticed is the range sucks. If I get up and walk away from the speaker it instantly starts cutting in and out.
