These seem to be in stock at several MS stores in the GTA. I wonder if the 10% off EDU discount applies if requested in store (it's been always a YMMV). That'd make lava hot this already hot-ish deal.
Is there a way to check and verify stock of particular location.. don’t know which direction I need to run.

When you click FIND IN STORE, it does provide you with the store phone number.

Hard drive size 1TB 5400 RPM hard drive

WARNING

for non technical people: 5400 RPM = SLOW

You open your browser and try to open a picture on the side? Your harddrive just froze for a few seconds. You download something and want to browse? Lagged. You want to run any kind of conversion or data processing? Good luck.

It's like going back to dialup internet.

I'd assume you can replace it with a SSD rather easily and cheaply?

Bought this in SquareOne last April at the same price together with an SSD and they will replace it for you for free including migration of the OS.

Too bad it does have a USB C port as indicated on the Microsoft website. As indicted by 2 people in the BF thread

According to SlickDeals, this laptop doesn't even have an IPS display either. A lot of misleading things that make this deal a lot less hot.

I'd buy if this was a 2-in-1, but there's no mention of that on the web page. Standard laptop setup only.

edit: 2-in-1, not 2-1
