[Microsoft Store] Re: Evoo Ultra Thin EVC141-6BK Laptop - $239 + Free Shipping

Pretty but I wouldn't wish windows on my worst enemy with only 4gb ram. Chrome os would be far better on this hardware.
Thread Summary
Please do not buy this laptop.

This is smaller screen model review.

The only real review you will find.

4GB is fine for Windows 10. This isn't meant for gaming - it's a basic laptop for surfing web, email, YouTube, etc. Chrome OS is shit! I would never recommend that.

No, only a few chrome tabs will kill few gb of ram.

No. Just...no.

Which will all be done more efficiently on a Chromebook with the same specs.

So is the Evoo, by default. And with the specs on the Evoo, you're not going to want to take it out of 'S' mode.

Some review says the laptop runs out of space after windows update (maybe it's on the 32gb version).

Would it be okay if I load chromium to it? Need a basic laptop for the kids virtual school. Got the Asus C204 on prime day but the display is terribleeeee.

I honestly don't think you need to load chromium on it. Should be fine as a basic laptop for kids IMO. You can always just buy it to try it out, and return it if you're not happy with it. Microsoft Store is really good with returns.

I have an old Dell laptop from 2014 with same Celeron processor and 4GB RAM... Windows 10 runs butter smooth and fast enough for day to day use.

After sale also this is a $200 value laptop.. a real Sale price would be below $150 for this... Not many will buy this for $239. Plus Evoo is not a well known brand yet

I disagree, you can't buy a brand new Chromebook, or even a refurbished one at this price.

How is the screen and keyboard?

This laptop might serve as a good RDP client.

Haven't found any reviews. Amazon and Walmart sell this Evoo brand though. Seems to get mixed reviews, as you would expect on any 'cheap' computer.

I bought my parents a refurbished Dell PC with only 4GB of ram, and Windows 10 runs perfectly fine on it.
