Why specifically Pt.6? I thought the one where he goes to space would be the ultimate in torture (having to watch it). :)

Between the Itunes version and Microsoft versions which is the better version?

Also how would one get Itunes if you do not have any Apple devices, only a Win 10 PC, PS4 Pro, Xbox One X and an Android Smartphone?

iTunes is a digital store since 2001. Where are you getting a DVD from?

My guess is picture quality will be the same on both platforms. I think this is 1080p, not 4K. Extras and special features will likely be minimal.

You can buy and watch the Itunes version on a Windows PC using Itunes for Windows.

I don't think these movies are available right now on any of the Canadian streaming platforms, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Some of the later movies are not included, such as Freddy vs Jason, the 2009 Remake of Friday the 13th, etc.

But at roughly $1.50 per movie in 1080p, this is still a great deal.

For those interested, al these movies are getting a new remaster on disc:
https://www.amazon.ca/Friday-13th-8-Mov ... 09BGFB9RC/
Price is $76 for disc and digital and releases in October.

Eventually the digital versions will also be upgraded. Not sure if it will be a big increase in picture quality or not.

I'll stick with the $13 version for now.

No Android options for either? I use my smartphone a lot more plus watch on the bus...

Be sure to purchase Microsoft (xbox) gift cards from Costco at a discount (10% on $100) & then purchase from Microsoft with your GC for further discount.

No need for iTunes. You have AppleTV+ online now, right in your browser. Use your apple credentials, your movies are there.

The 8-movie collection only has 1-4 remastered, which will probably be the same scans Shout used/produced for their recent boxset (which has the whole collection of 12 movies and uncut versions of 1, 9 and 11 btw).

If you have the money, go with the Shout boxset.
If you don't, you can still get the existing 8-movie collection for 29.99$ on Amazon : https://www.amazon.ca/Friday-13th-Ultim ... 077Y829ST/.

Well, ****. Can only watch it on PC, no way to cast it on my Sony TV since I'm not in the USA with Movies Anywhere. Wasted $15.

Last time I buy movies digitally.

Jason X was released in 2002

This collection is only for the 1980's releases

Thanks OP. This thread prompted me to have a look at Google Play.
It is also on sale for $12.99 there: link
Bought it there cause it's easier to cast (rather than having to cast from browser on my PC).
