Watch out! It runs windows s mode. You'll need to get a Windows 10 license for it, unless you enjoy internet explorer.

It’s a free upgrade ....depending on computer speed and connection, it’s a few minute job

This one would be sloooow running Windows 10.

It would be a whole-day cheap Linux laptop if one installs Mint 19 on it.
After installation of Mint 19, there will be plently of disk space.
It will run for 10 hours on 30% brightness.
One can install the free Linux version of WPS Office which can read and write all MS Office files (docx, xls, xlsx, ppt).

Just search Youbube for "Linux on HP Stream 14". There will be plenty of videos on how to do it.

Hard to argue with $200 for a new laptop, but that CPU looks pretty wimpy.

good price for what it is; misleading regular price though - no way this thing is worth 400 bucks; bought one a few years ago (2-3 years ago?) from costco at same 199 price when it was first introduced; like others have said - its capability is limited

Yeah its like 250-300 at Costco.

Basically a Chromebook with Win10 on it.

Extra points for not being blue like most of them.

If it has 1080 then this is truly a new beast.

If you are talking about the blue one, it had a 1366x768 screen and I'm pretty sure 32GB eMMC. This is a completely different model.
