The HP site shows this model as actually having a N4000 processor (and 1920X1080 screen), so even a better deal if it in fact does have a N4000.

It's a decent deal. It will be bog slow on Win10. The CPU is quite anemic. I have basically this exact same config (except for the screen) in the form of a Chromebook and the performance is 'good enough'. On Win10 it will be frustrating.

Still, for $200 it's not horrible. The 'suggested' price of $400 is an absolute joke.

Watch out! It runs windows s mode. You'll need to get a Windows 10 license for it, unless you enjoy internet explorer.

If this thing had the N5000, I'd be all over it. That's the bare minimum I would tolerate. These specs would run a lot better on ChromeOS.

is this really slow???
Yes. Both the CPU and storage are slow. For basic stuff it's going to be fine, forget about gaming.

Hard to beat $199 for a new laptop with a 1080 screen though.

Gaming? Forget too many browser tabs, or letting one tab play music for example.

On my N3060 machine I can't have Google Play Music playing in one tab while working on a document on another tab without stutters. CPU utilization is pegged.

Wish I knew if this was indeed an N4000 processor....hmmmm... need something for my daughter and school. Been down the 3060 road before, even running Office 365 was brutal. The 4000 might be ok... she doesnt game at all. Just youtube and office.

The N4000 is literally 100% faster than the N3060. May get different results with this machine.

If this is indeed an N4000 processor and not old stock of some kind with an older processor (basically the specs as listed on the MS site).
