Not 100% sure of the temperature of this deal but seems to be a decent price for the product.

Damn

I just got the 3500u flex for 628 but this seems like a smoking deal for price/performance

Would there be any reason for me to keep the 3500u flex over this?

Edit

Damn available Feb 1st. I need it for January 4th the latest. Oh well

3.5% ebates too.

Edit: As pointed out, the 3.5% doesn't apply to computer hardware.

128 gb is awfully small. Any idea on available ram slots or other ports in the motherboard. You’d definitely need to throw in an ssd with a decent 512gb and an e tea 8gb ram. So 40$ ram 100$ ssd.

Can't decide..

3500u vega 8 12gb ram, 256ssd nvme - 628

And this laptop.

Ideally I would like to play fortnite occasionally.

The 3500u Lenovo is already here and I like it but this seems pretty good for the price. I can upgrade the ram/SSD

But how much performance am I losing going from 3500u to 3200u vega 8 to 3

My mistake I just saw the "activate 3.5% cash back" from the ebates extension.

I ordered this on sale for 499 yesterday, https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/le ... 0/13982603

The best buy one is better specs but the difference I guess would be the touchscreen. I got it for my grandparents so not sure if the touchscreen would come in handy. Does the Microsoft one have a upgradable hard drive?

Thinking about giving this one to my grandparents and then the best buy one to my mother.

Edit: Never mind shipping says Feb

I looked at a dissassembly video and apparently it's 4GB embedded + 1 SODIMM slot. SSD is M.2 and there's a 2.5" bay too.

1080p screen and decent CPU for $400 and some upgradeability. Seems like a great deal to me.

It has only one memory module slot, and an "optional" 4 GB soldered to the motherboard which I assume is included with this laptop. According to the specs, maximum memory supported is 12 GB (4 + 8) but it's likely that a 16 GB module will work in the slot also.

The laptop supports 2 storage devices, so you should be able to add another SSD to it. You can see the inside of it here:

There's a RBC offer if you buy from the MS store 50$ (499-999$) and 100$ (>1000$).
Doesn't apply to this laptop... but people should know.

I dunno

I feel like I should return the flex 14 3500u and just buy this. It's almost half the price.

Only thing that bothers me is that it's a dual core processor

You shouldn't need more than 2 cores for a budget notebook like this.
