Lenovo Y540, 15.6inch screen, i7-9750H, 8GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB, 512GB SSD + 1TB HDD.

Not as good as the Y540 with 144Hz screen, 16GB RAM, and RTX 2060 6GB ($1,479) but it is cheaper and still available.

Newegg has that MSI with 9300h and 1660ti for 1169. I'd take the better GPU probably.

Thanks, didn't know. I guess this deal is getting less and less hot the more I read here.

Great laptop; I got this and the 19 MacBook Pro on Black Friday. Upped the RAM to 32gbs and decided to keep this device over the MacBook after a month of using both... windows user; like the tough design; satisfied with the screen for little photo/video editing. Definitely not at the level of the MacBook for graphics/brightness/audio though. But hey it’s 1/3rd of the price.

Watch for deep discounts in electronics and among electronics resellers.

If you can't eat it or wipe with it, it may be on sale.

You mean all because of the pandemic? I chatted with Lenovo and they said their prices are based on current inventory and their supply chain isn't taking this coronavirus well. So if they have a lot of stock of a certain make then that could go on sale.

Can you put the graphic chip in the title?

For just very basic Adobe Premiere editing like cutting clips, adding music as well as transitions should I want a better GPU or CPU?

As for gaming, the most I'll do is League of Legends.

Better CPU would fit you better, Premiere appreciates more cores, and LoL isn't that demanding on the GPU. For editing, wouldn't you want to focus more on colour gamut & accuracy from the panel as well?

I'm not a professional so I won't be doing color grading or anything of the sort. As it is I use a dual monitor setup with my Spectre x360. So if I do get very into color correction, or whatever the terminology is, I will just get nicer monitors.
