I bought my Razer Pro 17” 2019 from Microsoft and it’s been perfect. I have had absolutely no issues. Also it was comforting to know that I was dealing with Microsoft and not Razer for the first 30 days of warranty.

These are a cool idea, but I always question the long term impact of gaming on a laptop, eGPU or no. You are still running the CPU at close to max in a tiny enclosure with poor cooling for a sustained amount of time.

Get ~9% more off by using XBOX GCs from Costco to buy this.

You might be thinking of the Alienware Graphics Amplifier that was on sale last year ([Dell] Alienware Graphic Accelerator (eGPU case) - $180
dell-alienware-graphic-accelerator-egpu ... 0-2214841/) If you have an Alienware, it's much better as you don't lose as much graphical potential but this item works better for ANY device with a Thunderbolt 3.

You can use XBOX Live GC in MS web store on hardware? I had no idea. Do they limit the number of GCs you can use per transaction?

Thanks

There will be performance loss. And more loss if you are using the laptop screen instead of external monitor since the display data has to come back over tb3 and uses up some more bandwidth.

Yes you can. Just load the card value in to your account first.

When purchasing there will be an open to pay using the credit on your account. I think the max account deposit is $1000 but not 100% sure.

Why get that when the 2020 version with the 2070 is cheaper? https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/p/razer ... verviewtab

Edit: it appears it's probably the advanced model with vapor chamber , still the 2020 2070 version was cheaper with a better CPU and eligible for student pricing, got a blade 2020 with a 2070 for 2249$
