Switch wasn’t nearly as big, but it also was hard to come by when it first released. The new switch is going to be equally impossible to get at launch; that’s gonna be an interesting launch for sure. Retailers/ manufacturers really have no incentive to stop this either, just need to create the illusion of “fairness”.
Its really nothing new. Happened with the PS4 and Xbox One and so on.
