Miele C3 models

There are two Miele C3 models that I’m interested in.

Miele Complete C3 Limited Edition Canister Vacuum
- currently on for $499 from $699
https://www.costco.ca/miele-complete-c3 ... 66578.html

Or

Miele Complete C3 Carpet & Pet canister vacuum
- currently on for $459
https://www.costco.ca/miele-complete-c3 ... 13050.html

Based on the attachments that come with the vacuums, even with the $200 off sale, the $459 unit seems to be the better option. Does anyone have any experience with these models?

Limited edition is for hardwood and low pile carpet only. It doesn't have a carpet brush. The carpet and pet does have a carpet brush, but lacks one of the two hardwood style heads of the limited edition. I personally would get the carpet and pet as the carpet brush makes a big difference if you have any carpets or rugs and there isn't a big difference between the two hard floor heads of the limited edition.

Thanks for the feedback. That’s exactly what I was thinking, it just seems odd that the more expensive unit is not better.

"Better" is subjective. It depends if your place is mainly non-carpeted or carpeted.

Miele Complete C3 Limited Edition has the better handle (less hand fatigue) and far superior hardwood cleaning brush (Twister Parquet brush). Twister Parquet brush is usually included in Miele's premium bundles, but you can always buy it separately as an add-on.

@GSXXRR thank you! I didn't notice the difference in the handle.....I agree, I prefer the comfort handle. The majority of my house is hardwood except for a few rugs and stairs (which I would use the upholstery nozzle on anyways). I'll go with the C3 LE - thanks again.

Neither of these has an electric power head for carpet. From my point of view I would consider them both unacceptable if you have any significant amount of carpet or will have in the future. Or have any high pile carpet with pets.

I've had a Miele for 10 years now and I made sure to get the electric power head for peace of mind since the turbo carpet brushes have always sucked. I no longer have carpeting but that's not to say I might not get it again.
