Miele has a promotion for a free HEPA filter with the purchase of XL value 8 pack AirClean 3D Efficiency Dust Bag.

3xcamel record low for the bags and HEPA filter respectively are $28.99 + $39.13 = $68.12

*Lets leave out the non-OEM bags and washing filter arguments for cost savings. Neither of those come close to providing true HEPA level filtering for those that actually care / need it.

**UPDATE: It appears Miele now has the HEPA filter bundled inside a new 8 bag package. So you will not receive an extra Air Clean filter which is redundant anyhow.

I didn't even know I needed to eventually replace my hepa filter. I thought it had all those other squares etc to go over them. I thought it was only if you were looking to convert the cat & dog (carbon filter) versions to a hepa, for example.

They don't mention it but yes you can add a HEPA filter and have cat and dog level filtration on lesser models. The cat & dog model is basically like a new car with all the options checked off. (wide power brush head, HEPA filter, etc)

It's a bit silly that the bags are filtered, then there's a pre-motor filter (one included with the bags), then there's a post motor filter (the one being offered for free in this deal). But that last one is something allergy sufferers can appreciate

Edit: Looks like OP's comes with an additional HEPA filter, in which case it's a much better deal.

Bought a Dyson Cinetic Vacuum off of the ebay outlet.

Came in literally 1 day from their warehouse, in almost brand new condition (didn't see any wear on it).

No bags to buy. No filters to wash or replace. Life's good.

Perhaps that is the new packaging they're offering. Previous XL bags did not include the HEPA filter inside the box. But even on homedepot's own site the GN has new packaging but the FJM doesn't appear to include it.

This is a VERY good deal.

Several months ago I ended up paying over $100 for the same FJM 8-bag plus HEPA filter. With taxes and free shipping this deal came out to $44.78

You're right, in the description it says '8 4.5L bags & 4 filters', so they're likely clearing old stock but using the new packaging picture.

The Homedepot image is not accurate. If you read the product description it matches the same SKU listed on Miele's website. The deal OP posted is pretty decent. I paid $36 at Christmas time for my HEPA filter.

I feel the same. If the place you live in isn't a full sized single house or you don't have fur shedding pet, you don't really need more than a couple of bags a year.
