Milwaukee Tool sale cycle?

Hey! Wondering about the usual annual cycle of Milwaukee power tools... obviously I missed a big one at HD back in February (weird time for a sale?!) and there's Black Friday/CM, but what does the rest of their usual (HD mostly but I will probably buy from KMS or BCFasteners) annual tool sale cycle look like?

Thanks in advance!

P.S. Specifically I am after an M12 Surge and maybe some other additions to that system.

Milwaukee doesn't seem to follow a set rotation outside of Home Depot "events" and specials. Something to note is that some of the Home Depot specials are also exclusives which are pared back, such as a smaller battery or different bag/case.

Regardless, my best Milwaukee deals always come from in-store events where the Milwaukee rep is present. Milwaukee has strict limits on lowest advertised pricing, so in-store tends to lead to better deals than online. Tent events, special weekends and so on where the Milwaukee rep is on site often have reduced prices with a free battery thrown in or other incentives. Your local independent hardware store is likely the best place to find these events.

Ah, didn't know this, thanks for the clarity!

Of course, just as I ask this it turns out both Home Depot and KMS have Milwaukee deals, but most of the meat of them is unfortunately "buy a battery/charger starter kit and get one of these unpopular tools for free!" (lol)

OTOH HD USA just had 2x 3.0Ah compact + 2x6.0Ah XC M12 packs for $199 so I sent a set to relatives for later retrieval :)

Guess I might go bug my local non-HD store (KMS) about how close to price parity I can get given the HD USA regular price is basically equal to the local + HD Canada price but HD USA has a free extra battery...

August is a good time. Stores like HD stock up for the summer project season, then start clearing out in August. But the deals are highly variable and local. Watch for after-sale opportunities for price protection with final clearance offers. A few years ago I got a $300 set on sale for $150, and then a refund of $75 because a few stores in the region were blowing out their last few at that price.

Oh nice, didn't think about playing the price match game on clearance stuff. Definitely done that at Costco once or twice but there I think about everything being ephemeral so...

I'll definitely keep an extra-close eye on HD over the next month or two, thanks!! Is this mostly in-store rather than online that you've seen these end-of-summer deals?

A lot of the deals at HD are in-store, and they will only price-match within the local area. From Victoria you won't get them to PM Ontario, and maybe not even Vancouver.

Not to tell you you can't ask in this thread (go ahead) but you might want to start another thread so people who follow DeWalt sales notice it and reply :)

Or you could buy Milwaukee stuff instead and save the trouble of starting another thread =D

Yeah makes sense. Good to know I should be looking for unadvertised in-store stuff!

Of course if it's domestic and ships they will match but not do the 10% thing.

I just got them to match+beat a store over on the mainland and give me my 10% (lower mainland is basically local anyways give or take the pandemic lol)... got the M12 Surge + hammer drill kit for $10 below the Black Friday "going rate" =D
