[Dollarama] Mini Bluetooth Speaker [$4]

Price:
$4
Retailer:
Dollarama
More offers from Dollarama
Went to purchase the utility light on sale and spotted these cheap Bluetooth speakers on sale. They're probably not amazing but for $4 they're good for kids or a "throwaway" speaker.

Bonus, a speaker bar for $4. Not Bluetooth but has a 3.5mm input.

I don't believe that those speakers are bluetooth, rather just AUX input from what I saw on the package.

Ya the speaker bar isn't Bluetoothbut the first image is.

I'm not sure if the speaker bar requires batteries.

I bought the mini bluetooth speaker. You know what, the Mini bluetooth speaker isn't half bad.

- It HAS a FM RADIO (not even listed in the specs). To program all the radio stations in your area, push IN the volume button and it will start scanning for channels. You will hear it find a channel and then skip to the next one. WAIT till it stops scanning (when it stops jumping channels). Now you can use the volume left/right to change channels. If you accidentally PUSH in the volume knob, it will erase all the stations and start scanning again (you can't stop it, don't stop it, you end up with no channels).

- Wish they had put buttons instead of: LONG PUSH LEFT or RIGHT to raise and lower volume (short push left or right is skip track / next FM station).

- Sound is LOUD and clear, not much bass. Funky LED flashing lights, take note of them: Different Flashing patterns indicate if the music is paused on your phone/in pairing mode/in a call/in radio scanning mode.

- I haven't tried making/receiving calls on it , it supposedly can do this!

- USB cord and EnGRISH instructions are UNDER the green cardboard, many people will toss them out (stupid box design).

There is no HEADPHONE input jack to plug in a phone, you must use bluetooth.

Can't complain for $4. Selling out pretty fast. Montreal: Went to Queenmary (Snowdon Metro) no stock. Went to Brossard (Next to IGA) sold out. Found 2 left in McGill Place Montreal trust, now it's sold out...bought two :)

EDIT: My volume knob is a little WHONY, when I try to lower the volume it does the PUSH in function. I'm still happy with my purchase however...come on $4.

The Sound bar has Headphone jack :) If it had HDMI, I would had DRIVEN to Cornwall from Montreal to look for it! Someone said it SUCKED...not even worth $4, maybe worth $3...better than nothing.

The bluetooth speaker on the other hand is a HOT BUY, see my review above.

Can someone provide some use case for the Bluetooth speaker? It's portable right? Meaning it will turn off automatically if not in use.

Yes, bring it to the beach, connect your phone and listen to some tunes. Place some calls. Listen to the FM radio. Copy some podcast mp3's to it and stick them on a micro sd card

No, it's a manual power switch.
