missed my step in the attic and cracked the ceiling

Amateur mistake guys. Anyway to fix this? Thanks

Yes, screw the drywall back in, patch holes/cracks, sand and paint.
If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

Tough break but you got off lucky seeing you didn't fall all the way through.

Have to agree will need to re-screw the drywall back, tape, putty, sand and ultimately repaint.

No short cut to doing it right.

I agree with the others. I've had some luck with Lepage's "No more nails" line of adhesives (https://www.amazon.ca/LePage-2047902-Pu ... 5PUNI?th=1) where I've wanted to be extra certain. You likely don't need it. If the panel cracked perpendicularly away from the joist, you will have to repair that part to.

Sucks but it's an easy job. Hopefully, you're okay.
