Some pretty good deals coming up at the end of the week. 2 days only, in store and online. This wormdrive saw kit looked particularly good value.

Yes, that's why I think it's a good deal, these batteries go for about $200 each, lowest I think I've seen one is about $165. The kit (which includes the other battery and a fast charger) on it's own is not a bad price at $435, in fact I can't find it cheaper anywhere else.

Definitely some decent deals there, personally I would probably buy a corded worm drive circular saw if it's more torque you're after ie cutting hardwoods, ripping a lot of sheet materials etc.

The 9 Amp will definitely her her done alright but you will eventually go through both batteries fairly quick if you have a lot of tough cuts to do.

If it's for mostly cross cuts or softwood, a sidewinder will be lighter, quicker and cheaper to buy.

But it's a matter of personal preference at the end of the day.

Mississauga Hardware are a good store, bought a Milwaukee portaband from them a couple of months ago for $302 all in, delivered out west. They were near $100 cheaper than most places and $30+ cheaper KMS' sale price for the same unit.

I have this saw. It's an unstoppable beast. Not really much difference in weight to a Skill saw. Normally I'm just using it for ripping down plywood. Good for cutting stair stringers in wet pressure treated lumber.

Totally overkill for softwood, right?
Let's hug it out

I don't think it comes with 2 9aH batteries. If you look at other deal with extra battery, there's one battery in the picture where as that one, has no battery in the picture.

It's pretty clear in the flyer that this deal applies to the model DCS577X1 which is a kit already containing a 9.0Ah battery. It also clearly states that an extra battery is included. The picture (https://img2.mississaugahardware.com/pr ... 228f28.jpg) does actually include a battery already, it is in the tool. and the description for the current (no deal applied) product page clearly states "The 60V MAX* 7-1/4 in. Cordless Worm Drive Style Saw with 9.0 Ah battery ...". So yes, every indication is that if you go for this deal tomorrow or Saturday you will get a total of 2 9.0Ah batteries.

is the DCF894HP2 at 319 + 2 5AH battery good if the goal is to change 4 cars worth of tires 2x per year?

Or is it 3 5AH battery? Picture shows 2 then it says +1h so I'm guessing its 3 for 319$

I have no idea how good the DCF894 is, I have the older DCF880 and that is certainly too weak to take off lugs, but I think the DCF894 is about twice the torque so could well be good for changing tires. I can confirm though that this deal would mean 3 batteries, the DCF894HP2 kit already comes with 2 batteries and this deal adds one more.

Well the worm drive saw is sold out, looks like other deals are there now, but that's the only one I was interested in and didn't get there in time.

I have this tool and it is good, however I bought the bare tool for $219 from Amazon about 18 months ago. I have no idea if it has been close to that price recently. The kit comes with a 2Ah battery which is really not great for a nailer. A 5Ah battery is perfect, but not worth any more than $100 or even $80 in my view. So no, I don't think $400 for the kit and a 5Ah battery is a great deal.

I pulled the trigger on the grinder combo, with two 6ah and one promo 5 it was a good deal.
The sale price was lower than ccc said it had been before. Throw in a 5ah and I’m sold.

While I really craved the worm drive saw it would have been my first flex volt tool and it’s somewhat rare that i come across something my 6 1/2 blade left saw won’t best.
