Thanks OP. The shortest layover time I found was 10 hours in total for departure and return. I did this once and it wasn't fun. Good chance to see the pyramids though, it's a 45 minute drive from the airport

Egyptair prices are much higher through their actual website, what are the chances the booking site will honor these fares?

In the past they've been honoured and in other cases they haven't.

I'm actually seeing the exact same fare directly on Egyptair website for some of the flights (e.g. April 22nd to May 1st).

I'm not going to book, for anyone that wants, the flights on those dates were just a 4.5 hour layover on the way there, and 6 hour layover on the way back , which isn't so bad -- Not enough time to go check out pyramids if that's what you were hoping for though.

NOPE. Would not fly them even if it was free.

I flew Egypt Air in business class to Cairo from Toronto earlier this year and it was the worst flight. Aircraft smelled of cigarette smoke, seats were stained, food was gross and the crew were not friendly or attentive. This was business class, I can only imagine how economy class was.

What fare class do these book into, primarily?

Edit: According to Fare Boom, a sample of YYZ-CAI-ATH on May 2nd-12th has:

Fare basis: SLXRICA
Booking Code: S

Unfortunately that nets 25% PQM on United.... crap.

if you search via kayak, you should be able to get option to book directly with Egypt air instead of third party sites.
You need to click the ARROW DOWN next to VIEW DEAL and select Egypt Air. It may show a high price, but once you click into it the price will be lower.

I just got a YYZ-CAI-BEY ticket issued for USD$329 or C$432 (Fare basis S/T). If it gets cancelled, so be it. It is just for next April easter weekend anyway.
The layover is fairly short each way.
Since MS is star alliance, you do get lounge access if you have star gold.
However, as Absolute mentioned, both S and T fares are 25% PQM for UA/AC, 0% for TK.

Haha, I might be on the same flight... Let's hope they don't cancel.
