Hot deal! I checked their site and it seems they only have the 64gb. The stores don’t open for another few hours but might see if there’s a 256gb option.

Can I move my existing phone number to this deal, or does it have to be a new phone number?

No, I think it is (40*24) + (15*24) -250 + tax

They are using the 250K points to lower your monthly tab from $15 to $5

I checked and apparently freedom only carries the smallest size of iphones. Not interested in the deal as I did the math - can do the Freedom prepaid $99/every 3 months for 7gb data+Talk and text etc which would be $447 all in for the year. 7gb is plenty. So you're paying $360~ inc tax for the iphone 11...I'd rather not have to take the 64gb and just buy one from apple with Perkopolis promo discount and be done with it. Might wait until the new ones come out in Oct as they'll likely further reduce prices. That being said, our family has been very satisfied with Freedom's coverage in the GTA, though just be aware you're paying less and won't get the exact service as Rogers/Fido/Bell etc...so I don't think they do the extended roaming network for free for instance...which comes in handy when up north.

Edit: early morning math

Before anyone asks, this won't work with F&F code since that requires a plan over $50 .

Good deal for iPhone 11 with 10GB of data

Your calculation is way off.
On your prepaid plan, you are paying $447 for ONE year, but the post-paid Freedom deal gives you TWO years of service, plus a free phone upfront. You need to input your current costs as $447 X 2 = $894 total for two years. Then you will realize that, with Freedom post-paid, you are paying just $316 more (spread slowly over 24 months) to get a brand new iPhone 11 and more data per month.

TLDR. You are getting a MSRP $849 (or TIV of $350) iPhone 11 for $110 paid over next 24 months.

The total cost would probably be (using BC taxes):

One-time down payment - $21.20

Tab - $15 x 1.12 x 24 = 403.2

Monthly plan - $40 x 1.05 x 24 = $1,008

Less 250,000 PC Points - $250

Total: $1,182.40

IslandDeal wrote: Guys, is it just us? when I call my Mom's iPhone 11 on Freedom (Prepaid $99 / year voice only) in Windsor, I have to call 2X most of the time.

The first call always seems to go to VMAIL and the 2nd call will go through. Mom has 3-4 bars and her outgoing calls are fine.

Is this just an inferior carrier? Or bad luck?
That happens to me and I am in Toronto (Downtown). People have complained that they can't reach me

Maybe Freedom (SHAW-GERS) isn't really in Ontario..... perhaps they are roaming or something with a lower priority.
Yes currently with Freedom since last winter. Never had that issue with Koodo

I'm not sure who you are quoting out of the blue in this thread but one recommendation is enable VoLTE if you have an iPhone or VoLTE capable device.

Freedom's voice network is horrible in Toronto (at least 3 years ago). Keep voice traffic on LTE is a bit of improvement. But outside of TO core, it's totally fine.

Also, show me a plan as hot as this deal from the Big 3. You ain't getting a discount for nothing. And when Rogers finishes the takeover, you probably will never see competition like this ever again.
