3.5 years old, with regular official software updates. It’s still a good phone.

Using a 6S right now, it’s quite smoother than the Galaxy A8 I had before and works great overall. Would definitely recommend in 2019.

I'm still using a 6s too and it's fast enough for me. It feels faster than other phones I have used including the Moto Z, Samsung A8, and Samsung s7.

OP's deal is better than Wow Mobile's $100 prepaid CC.

How much longer is Apple going to support the 6s for?
Rumor has it the 6s won't support ios13... But just rumors. Should get a definite answer in the next month or so

Here's an article from January 31/19 and iOS 13 on iDevices: https://www.macrumors.com/2019/01/31/sk ... atibility/

I'm very happy with 12.2 at the moment. I don't think I'd miss much from not having access to iOS 13.
So your battery life hasn’t been completely obliterated on iOS 12.2?
On the Koodo $40 for 6GB Plan 😉

It also comes down to how much you interact with your friends. iMessage (when on wifi or data) and facetime is fairly commonly used in the younger population. So, it may be garbage to you, but not everyone.

I myself am on an S9+, previous phone was an s7 edge, prior to that a Moto G, and before that a Nexus S. Yet, I still see the value in adopting the best phone for your communication needs.

Well you are being rude, and spreading lies.

First off, that phone was released Sep 2015, that's just over 3.5 years ago, not 5 years.

Second, it's far from 'garbage'. To compare it to a $200 'moto' from Amazon is disingenuous. People who want an iPhone want an iPhone. If you rely on the iOS ecosystem any comparison to an Android phone is a complete and utter waste of time. It's not like switching from an LG Android phone to a Samsung Android phone, where mostly everything is transferable. To switch from iOS to Android means at a minimum a repurchase of ALL the apps you want, and the understanding that some things just aren't available to you anymore (for example, if you rely on Facetime your SOL).

So, back on point: the 6S is still a very usable phone. It's performance is 'good enough' for most people. It's camera is a let down compared to modern options, but that might not matter to those interested. It's a solid choice, and since you're getting it for $0, I don't see why anyone would resist.

And why is that? Would you mind to elaborate?

Koodo IPhone 6s on Tab small (tab = $240) with a bonus of $250 PC points. I was also given $50 to use towards any case that I wanted, was just required to pay the tax.

This deal was not advertised on the Mobile Shop Website, so YMMV. I got mine in BC. Hopefully available to others as well.
Did you trade-in an old phone for extra 50k points?
Is the TMS Mobilist(TMS rep) told you why you get $50 in phone accessory?
I like to confirm whether there is an 100K bonus points for this long weekend.
Please check your TMS invoice. If my guess is correct, you should have 2 line items:
Earn 150,000pts
Earn 100,000pts

The 150,000pts is the base points for iPhone 6s according to the TMS website
The 100,000pts must be a bonus points for this long weekend.
Have too many phones... This is how I limit my monthly phone payment.
Koodo $25 plan, PM $38 5GB plan, PM $8 plan to replace Speakout,
Zoomer loyalty family plan for 4 lines $117/6GB, $0 FPL home phone

I can reply to it (for Rogido) use iphone 6 and then use 6s, you would understand the difference. I know people still uses iphone 6 but 6s is Apple's last in line (along with 5SE) which is still smooth to use with today's app and speed (6S has way better processor, ram, cam). Infact I do not like iphone 7, I think iphone 8 is worth upgrading directly from 6s there was no use of producing i7 but may Apple and Samsung were so much in competition that they were releasing back2back versions to beat each other.

BTW I am a hardcore Android guy (use S9) and big fan of Samsung S and Google pixel series but I still respect Apple not just bcoz they make amazing phones but also bcoz there should be competition in market for the benefit of consumer else Android will be monopoly.
So how do I know about iphone!!! well my wife will never disown her iphone and she is coming from 4, 5 6 and now 6S..waiting for 8's price to drop to small tab to upgrade but is happy with her 6S. Her only complaint to Apple, add a SD card slot or provide 100GB free cloud storage like everyone else.

Nope, it's actually improved from what I can tell.
