what were you on before?

Even if they let you keep their current $45 plan that you can get today, is pretty darn good compared to Wind, Fido, Virgin, etc. plans.

Does mobility or chatr have any Canada wide plans? Can someone comment on the reception/ call quality? What does in zone mean? Do they have no reception zones inside the province?

you pay roaming outside of the zones they draw on coverage maps. go on the mobilicity or chatr site to see the zones.

reception / call quality is pretty good, data slow as dirt. works for im and light browsing, slow for intensive stuff or streaming unless in great reception area. 3mpbs cap

Pfft. They're just giving Mobi customers some lube before really taking it to them.

For the past couple of weeks, Rogers customers with grandfathered 6GB and Corp 6GB plans have been getting emails and letters saying the plan prices are going up $5 to $10 by August 25. With that in mind, I think the plan here is to win the Mobi customers over to the Chatr brand, get them comfortable and then slow take it to them.

Sorry , I meant the deals offered to long term mobi customers still applies to new activations. Assuming you do have to buy a month as you need a mobi number to get the deal.

I'm assuming their coverage still is very weak (Similar coverage to Wind) compared to the others even after the merge, thus the great pice?

Just got my email. I'll still be paying $30 for unlimited and 6 gigs. Phew.
