I wonder if MEC has been dropped by Shimano, or maybe they are just getting out of the bike business altogether. They've been out of stock on so many very basic things for so long .. I know there's a bike parts shortage everywhere, but MEC has been especially disappointing lately.

New owners are likely changing what they carry.
Agree, no tubes etc.

Hope they're not getting out of biking. Only reason I shop there.

Yea, it stopped carrying so many good brands like SIDI. Not sure the future of the stores.

Their good return policy is still one of the reasons why I purchase things from them. I hope that does not change.

For anyone looking for replacement pedals for the Schwinn IC4 (have read multiple posts of the stock pedals falling off), these dual-sided pedals are on sale at MEC.ca. When I bought them a few months ago, cheapest price I found online was $99.99. They work great on my IC4 bike and plus they look a lot nicer than a lot of other shimano pedals.

Great pedals.. Able to ride around neighborhood over summer in slippers on one side + clipless for hard power riding...

Will try it on a fat bike over winter to see how that goes..

So is it clipless on one side and normal when you flip it over? If so, is it a pain to get the right side up when you come unclipped?

Can't go wrong with Shimano clipless shoe.

Only clipless on one side, you should get used to it after a while. I ride with a double side.

They're built so that the clipless side flips naturally to the top so these r super easy to clip into with the spd cleats. I can clip in in one quick motion whereas when I'm using my road bike clips, i have to carefully clip in at each start.

There's 1 or 2 youtube videos I saw where you can see the physics of the pedal in real life and get an idea for how you would reliably / predictably interact with each side.
