The cooler is pretty bad. Wait another week or so and we should start seeing the "top tier" 980ti under $500 brand new (I guess that retailers are still waiting on the rebates right now).

Phenomenal price. A quick search of the MSI site shows that this model is called the GEFORCE GTX 980 TI 6GD5 V1. It's GDDR5 like all 980 Ti's (it's an error on the Direct Canada Price).

Unfortunately, reviews say the cooler on this card is terrible, and the card runs very hot, with a noisy fan and possible coil whine. It appears to be cheap for a reason. Wait for one of the better models to go on sale.

Surprising an MSI variant would perform so poorly compared to others. Usually they are a pretty solid group.
Please don't ask or beg for "thanks". Don't act like this is Facebook. If someone found your post helpful, let them decide if they want to make that click. The more you beg, the less you'll get. Cheers

well water-blocks aren't particularly cheap but if you already have a custom loop... sure?

may as well go with the new Pascal based GTX 1070 for around the same price for the new Pascal only features and lower power consumption, and save money on your annual power bill in the long run

Yeah I don't understand why people are only comparing the performance of each cards when Pascal have a lot more to offer
