It's pretty configurable but I only use it when a game needs lots of L3/R3 inputs, otherwise I don't use it at all.

Really depends on the person. Made it more uncomfortable for me, but benefits still made it worthwhile.

Hmm thanks, for $20 bucks it's seems like a good deal so guess I'll try it out and can return it if it's very uncomfortable

For sure. I hope a PS5 dualsense version is imminent.

Just curious do you know if this attachment also works when I'm using my controller on PC?

it's most beneficial for playing competitive shooters so you can jump/slide while aiming at the same time. by default they're mapped to X and O so you can use those buttons while keeping your right thumb on the joystick. much cheaper alternative to a scuf that competitive players use. it is a bit more uncomfortable with it attached but doesn't take long to get used to. can't wait for the ps5 version to come out.

it does work on pc as well (at least in warzone).

I know I'm old AF now, because I read the title and thought "why the hell would they make a dedicated back button"...

I still can't believe they didn't just include it by default or at least have one ready for launch. Like talk about amateur hour here.

This is most useful for First Person Shooting online multiplayer games where you would want to map the jump, prone or slide buttons to the PS back button positions.
(x, and circle).

To do a jump shot or drop shot without the back button attachment would involve a bit of finger twister or require much more mental dexterity
compared to someone that uses the XBox Elite controller or those other $150 - $200 customizable premium controllers with attachable back paddles.
