Is this thing actually any good? Does it work with most games?

Personally.

I found it annoying. Its too thick and it hurts my fingers. But it works. Most games I find are pretty good with the button layout comfortability. Not really sure what else I would use it for. I accidently press it some times. Tried using it for Control PS4 mapped it to the map and melee buttons.

it does work but some people don't like the bulkyness.
however for games that you have to click down L3 or R3 alot this is wonderful.
I use it for nhl and using this for L3 instead of clicking L3 and directions will save the thumbstick in the long run.
however if you use this you will have to adjust your grip so you do not grip so tightly with the fingers on those back buttons.

Would this work for sliding in BF 5 and Destiny 2? I see people dodging and sliding all over the map and no idea who they manage to do it...

This thing is an obtrusive piece-of-crap and it'll be $9.99 before you know it.

once you get used to it, it's a game changer for me personally for warzone.

I use this thing and found it works really well. I've had no issues and I've had it since it launched. I mainly use it for FPS shooters for crouch and tactical abilities. I've also used it on pc and it works flawlessly.

Using it for NHL is a really good idea. Though I am hesitant to get accessories for PS4 as I likely won't be getting more than a year worth of use out of it since the PS5 is here.

Took me sometime to get use to it but so hard to get used to it again without it on PS5.
It feels so good once you get used to it!

its best for fps games. because you can jump/slide without taking your thumb off the joystick. i play claw and its a huge advantage against people that dont or dont have a controller with paddles.

Don't buy this the company that has patented this is the reason why the steam controller stopped being sold (allegedly) and why none of the new systems have buttons on their back. Greedy little $&#@ suckers!

Its not like its even an innovation n64 had the button on its back too.

It came out in January and this is the first time it's ever gone on sale lol.
Redmask wrote: Just a heads up that this does not work with the Dual Sense (PS5) controller.
I honestly thought the whole reason of this thing existing was because the DualSense would have them built-in.

And then not only does it not, they haven't even made a DualSense version of this thing!

I have this, kind of a learning curve to use this. It’s designed well at least and can have 3 presets ready.

Wasn’t really worth it at $40+tax but this is better.

I’d recommend if you actually want to be competitive, casual players are better off.

It's pretty interesting though it's also a fairly high premium. You can set up 3 presets for 2 back button sets, you can attach to any dualshock 4 you own and it's platform independent.
It comes down to whether you think that additional customization is worth, and if you don't like the ergonomics of the premium controllers that costs a few hundreds. It takes a bit of getting used to in terms of muscle memory but i wouldn't say it's useless by any stretch. It adds a controller comfort that rebinding buttons doesn't necessarily solve.
