Is my cactus dying?

Hi RFD,

I have this really lovely succulent that has made a turn for what seems like the worst.

Can someone tell me if they know what's wrong with it? It feels very limp and not very sturdy, it's limbs are also growing very funny and it doesn't seem as healthy as it was when we first bought it (1 year ago).

Does anyone know what's wrong with it?

It sits on our window ledge and gets quite a bit of sun.

Please help me!!!

My first inclination is that you are overwatering it. This is what happens to mine, although I don't have this variety.

If the pot doesn't have a hole for drainage, the plant will not thrive and may eventually die. Repot in cactus soil (which is very porous) and make sure the pot can drain any excess water. Good luck!

Repot the thing in a bigger pot as well, getting crowded in there it's looking for room to expand. And only water when the soil has been dry for a few days.

Only water when the soil is totally dried out. This was my mistake too. We think it needs more water than it does.
