[Mountain Equipment Co-op] Namecheap domain renewals (com/net/org) for $8.88 (Oct 24 only)

More offers from Mountain Equipment Co-op
Renew up to 5 Namecheap domains today for $8.88 (plus $.18 ICANN fee). Valid for com/net/org.

The code is BDAYPARTY. Valid today only (Eastern time).

I can't recall a better price for renewals. I haven't tried this for a new domain, but it's not that great a deal for a registration (which can go for <$5).

Warm and useful for most people facing an imminent expiry at Namecheap.

Thanks OP, IMO encouraging competition in this industry is always a good thing so let's help the tried and tested underdogs reinforce their base.
Domain name coupons, prices, OK registrars, loopholes - ask me anything about domains in this RFD Q&A thread.

Switching registrar for saving 1$ is certainly a waste of time unless you have 10+ domains.
This offer is only valid on one year renewals.
!!!

10.69$ thereafter.

I still prefer moniker at 9.59$ regular price.

Used. Thanks, OP.
I always wait for things like this and then do my renewals, and originally got into NameCheap during the Anti-SOPA protests.

Moniker is a great company. Fantastic service in my experience.

Though I found their interface is optimized for people who own a lot of domains, and want to perform batch operations.
It's kind of annoying if you only own 1-2 domains.

Can this be used for multi-year renewals?

With godaddy, I believe there's a 46% code floating that applies to 10-year registrations.

No. But keep your eyes open because NameCheap coupons pass through every now and then. I don't think I've ever paid full price on NameCheap. But you have to be opportunistic.

I believe that GoDaddy is one of the very worst registrars out there. I used to have domains there, but today you could not pay me to use them.
