"Fast food" restaurants are advertising "premium" ingredients and changing their image
...
I think most fast food places serve healthier food now than they did years ago.
It seems their advertising has been successful

Went for a chicken teriyaki for lunch ( really the only sub I'm buying from Subway, with the occasional steak sub ) but no Sub of the Day promotion (Sounthshore Montreal)

North Van (Lonsdale) has the promo.

You provide them with your business after appying 20 coupons, breaking out the fine print in their price-match policies, printing out price-errors with requests that they honour the erroneous price, and returning 9 out of 10 products you purchased over the year.

I want to know as well. I did a quick Google search and didn't seem to find anything posted since 2014 about it.

Yeah, the bread's all azodicarbonamide-free now. There's no news about it because it wasn't found to be an unsafe ingredient, and the YouTuber who made it a big deal moved on to some other crusade after the clicks started slowing down.

It was removed from their bread by April 2014.

You can find a list of the ingredients of their breads, meats, and condiments on the Subway site.

Subway locations are very hit and miss. I know it's just a sandwich but the inconsistency in quality and taste is pretty amazing. This leads me more often to Mr Sub, which I find much more consistent and tasty. I'd have to buy 2 subs to feel satisfied and that $8 can go a long way elsewhere. Bring back a decent price for a 12 inch and I'd bother trying Subway again. Till then, it's meh.

It's too bad that with all the competition Mr. Sub locations have dwindled, I see they have a sub of the day type promotion as well
