Also a good deal. Toshiba is a better rated and faster drive (7200) than the WD Green Drive (5400) that you likely have in this my book. WD Green is slower but more energy efficient so depends on what you are looking for.

WD is okay. Seagate is what you need to run away from.

Crack it open and it'll become an internal drive.

Yes it will and it will void your warranty.. it is not the same.
I have done exactly that, but I knew going in my warranty was gone....
Like I said, apples and oranges..

Funny..... WD drives are the only ones that have ever failed on me. Replaced with Seagates and Toshiba and never had a problem since!!

Run far, run fast from Seagate. My experience and industry stats show Seagate not a good choice.

Same here, the only drive to ever fail me was a Seagate. Will never buy one again, even if it's dirt cheap.

I had a WD 2TB external drive die 26 days out of warranty.... I don't believe brands matter at all that much, some drives seem to last and last some don't.

Seagate is past the point of those awful drives that broke down and tarnished their reputation. I am glad to now be able to buy their current drives and have them work and not be worried.
