[NCIX] Xiaomi Mi 3S Android TV Box $99.99

Not sure if this is considered a 'Hot Deal' or not, but the Xiaomi Mi Box 3S is at $99.99 for today only. Not a bad deal for an Android TV box. This is the international version, but comes with a US plug.

Please don't hurt me if this is a duplicate post, or a cold deal.

Lots of people having issues with Netflix on this device, myself included. I'd recommend waiting for that to get resolved before purchasing.

Is this similar or the same as the 4K version at Walmart USA? Does it run Android TV or just Android?

I just purchased this and it arrived Friday, No issues with Netflix for me with extensive use this weekend. Also of note is that the part # on this guy is the same as the one listed on the Walmart website but it does come with a non-NA plug (and an adapter in the box). Might be issue with the NCIX description, but I don't know what the model number was on the box.

Really loving this guy as its my first box that wasn't a cheap clone.

Runs Android TV

Edit: I was asking in the shield thread if anyone knows what the difference is between this one and the US. Anyone here know?

I have both and to be honest I don't notice much of a difference. They both seem to perform very well for me.

I think the difference was/is only some apps pre-installed, sling and Hulu, maybe more and perhaps some free trials? I noticed after the last update a messaged popped up saying something about free sling but it didn't show up until after I turned on my VPN. I still couldn't get it to work right even with the VPN so I gave up. I'm sure you could do it if you take the time though but I wasn't that interested.

Beside the cooler packaging and proper power plug:

$50 Sling TV credit
$5 VUDU credit
1 month free CBS All Access
3 months free Pandora

Are you using a China local version or a one rooted/memory-flashed from China local version? I knew they really had issues with all programs requiring google frame support.

The international version or US version had no issues with netflix...

Thanks, saved myself some $$$, by the time I upgraded to a 4k TV, either the price of this will drop or there is something newer and better.

with one USB 2.0 port xiaomi should have added support for USB Ethernet adapters, its such a low hanging fruit I am surprised they ignored it,

Just have to go into the google store where you will see a netflix update. Problem goes away 100%.

If it's like the NP then it will recognize an Ethernet adapter when plugged in and connected to a wired connection. I just use a cheap hub and go from there...

I have an old sagemcom 2864 that runs from the basement through the second floor and everything runs super smooth (1080p). I dont have 4k tv.

Interface is much smoother and faster than other china boxes. Netflix is in HD. Remote control is responsive and kodi runs really well on it. EU plug adapter looks silly.

I dont think it's that easy lol. Why do you think this will fix the issues?
I have a Mi Box with the latest version of Netflix and I still have problems as are many many others. It's a serious issue.
